My guest blog post for TOinitiative.ca offers five questions to aspiring entrepreneurs. These questions will guide them through the first phase of discovery. Questions, comments and suggestions are welcome!
A brief summary
The five questions asked are related to discovering what you (the aspiring entrepreneur) want to do every day and what change you’d like to bring to the community. To position yourself well, learn as much as you can about the market. The post gives you few topics to get started.
And then what? You’ve soul-searched and you researched the market. Now is the time to get you ready to get out and network! To do so, you need to be able to say what you (want to) do and why your product or approach is unique and different.
Last, but not least, answer the question honestly if you got what it needs to be an entrepreneur. Changing your employee hat to the entrepreneurial hat is fun and challenging. Being aware of your strengths and weaknesses will help you getting your organization off the ground in a way that suits you. I never thought of myself as a risk-taker, but as years go by I am realizing that I am a confident calculated risk-taker. (Who nonetheless at times worries!)
